Guest lecture areas in Duke curriculum: Pediatric Orthotic Intervention, Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis

Clinical Interests
Pediatric Physical Therapy with particular emphasis on children with neuromusculoskeletal diagnoses including cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, motor unit diseases and disorders, myelodysplasia, and other neuromuscular disorders as well as diagnoses such as juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. Clinical tools including direct physical therapy treatment, orthotic intervention, assistive technology, and coordination with the rest of the medical team regarding patient candidacy for such interventions as serial casting, Botox injections, Baclofen pumps, selective dorsal rhizotomy.

Research Interests
Developmental neuroscience, including issues such as plasticity, recovery, and adaptability of the nervous system; developmental biomechanics, dynamic systems and dynamic functioning of the neuromusculoskeletal system, motor control and motor learning, and clinical management of neuromuscular disease and disorders.
