Women’s health physical therapy encompasses strategies and
interventions to promote and advance health in women of all
ages and populations. Physical therapists with specialized
knowledge and skills are active in education, research and
clinical practice addressing the unique health problems of
women, such as:
- Urinary incontinence
- Pelvic pain
- Pregnancy-related back pain
- Lymphadema

Elective
The Women’s Health Elective is designed to introduce
Physical Therapy students to a specialty area of
Physical Therapy practice.
Class format includes lecture, laboratory, and review
of literature.
Speakers represent the following disciplines:
Physical therapy, Urogynecology, Endocrinology, and
Obstetrics & Gynecology. |
